Visit to the Ecoparc of Montcada i Reixac

On Friday 20^th February, the students of the Master’s Degree in Architecture and Sustainability visited the Ecoparc of Montcada i Reixac. This park is dedicated to the selection and treatment of municipal waste originating from the selective collection of organic matter, packaging and waste from the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona.

The objective of this park is to transform organic waste into compost and biogas and to recover materials that can be reused or recycled. All of the waste from the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona is treated in this way before it is sent to its final destination.
