Postgraduate Course – Visit to a Passivhaus in Barcelona

The group from the Postgraduate Degree course in Architecture and Energy Saving visited the Low Energy MZ House passive house. This is a rehabilitation project located in the district of St. Gervasi, Barcelona. It was designed with the ambitious objective of achieving low energy consumption, following the methodology of the Passivhaus standard. The house reduces energy consumption by up to 17kWh/m2 per year.

We would like to thank Calderon Folch Sarsanedas Architects for their kind attention and for an excellent presentation, interesting technical explanations and the visit to the interior of their building.

After the visit, we went for a meal at a restaurant in Gracia to formally close the Postgraduate course, given that the classes had already finished. On this occasion, we would like to thank the students for having made this first edition of the degree in Architecture and Energy Saving possible!
