Plan for the Thermal Plant Area of El Besòs

This urban proposal seeks to reurbanise the seafront area of Barcelona known as the Thermal Area of El Besòs. The plan combines residential, tertiary and infrastructure uses and free areas, as well as converting the former thermal power station into a museum.

This will make it possible to gain a kilometre of beach for the use and enjoyment of the citizens of Barcelona and will provide an opening to the sea for the municipality of Sant Adrià del Besòs.

The most original contribution of this plan lies in its aim to contribute to sustainable urban development. It does this by incorporating strategies that will make it possible to generate urban growth with a minimal environmental impact and with low carbon emissions.
