2nd Prize (honorary mention) in the GAM Competition

The “Architecture and Sustainability” team, formed by lecturers and students from the 2010-2011 Master’s Degree course came 2nd (receiving a mention of honour) in the GAM International competition held in Costa Rica.

The competition was based on designing sustainable housing for middle class families. Forty-four teams took part in the competition, with 3 being chosen as finalists.

The architects involved in the competition were:

Joan Lluis Fumadó and Ezequiel Uson (co-directors of the Master’s Degree programme),  Alexander Labeur (a lecturer on the Master’s Degree course), Maricel Umaña (a student on the 2010-2011 edition of the course) and Marcos Liberman (a student on the Master’s Degree course in 2005-2006).

The competition also involved the collaboration of students from the 2010-2011 edition of the Master’s Degree course: Camilo Valdivia, Maria Silvia Borsani and Juan Manuel Samayoa.
