The Director of the Master’s Degree, J.L. Fumadó awarded the COAC medal
The director of the Master’s Degree course, Joan Lluís Fumadó Alsina and 5 other architects received the COAC Medal at a solemn ceremony held on 21st June. With these medals, the COAC recognised the professional work done by these architects and how they have diversified the scope of their projects, which have been carried out both within and outside Catalonia. Plaques and diplomas were also awarded to recognise the work of people who have made donations to the documentary and library archives of the COAC. New members were also welcomed to the organisation. The event was preceded by mass in the church of Sant Felip Neri in memory of members who had died in the previous year.
The work done by those recognised is proof of the capacity of architects to resolve specific problems based on a holistic vision which has also established a specific approach to their work. In some cases, the teaching work of these architects has been carried out in close collaboration with the Sert School. More specifically, the Medal awarded recognises the work of Joan Lluís Fumadó in the design and calculation of building systems.
